This is especially since the Cruise Port is implementing an Environmental Risk Management System (ERMS), which will bring to it an international “green port” accreditation. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.MEP Josianne Cutajar praised the significant investments in safety and environmental sustainability. The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period. You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them. On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you. Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Suffice it to say, my words can’t do this experience the justice it deserves! I enjoyed myself so much I’ve already recommended Chris’s tour to a good friend visiting Malta in a few weeks. The tour was so well run and interspersed with light hearted jokes, that our time flew by. All the delicacies from the Pastizz to the fresh strawberries to the local chocolates, Figolla and more, will tie me to Velletta for years to come. The tour was peppered with local stories that were tied to the food we tried, which in turn helped support the local business, and that made the experience so much more memorable. Each of the establishments we stopped at were filled with charm and of course delicious treats for us to partake in. The walk was filled with fact filled history and playful banter. Our guide Chris is an amazing story teller and the way he started our tour with Pastizz, a local pastry was perfect. I didn’t know what to expect, but it was definitely more than I could have imagined. Highly recommended.įirst, I’ve never been on a walking food tour so I was pleasantly surprised. This tour did not disappoint despite high expectations, is great value and a superb introduction to Valletta aided by our perfect host, Chris. We also liked the Imqaret and, oh yes, the best strawberries ever tasted. The peas flavour became our breakfast of choice when on the move. I suppose the favourite snack was of course the Pastizzi which we had not tried prior to the tour. This encouraged me to try similar places later on in our stay. He clearly has tremendous experience and is local so we were able to get lots of background info to life in Malta, which really enhanced our experience.Ī big plus for me was that Chris took us to places to try the food where I would not have ventured without his guidance. This tour in Valletta was no exception and our host was Chris who was an absolute star and quite a character. I also find that they are a great way to get your bearings in your location so I try to book them at the start of our stay. I have been on a number of food tours with Viator in different cities and really enjoy the way they give you a taste of your location, in many ways! Yes, you get to try some of the local dishes but its often with information about the location itself to provide context.
